05.07.2019: Arrival in Shanghai

Finally arrived. After 5.5 hours (to Dubai) and another 8 hours of flight with Emirates, we landed in Shanghai. Both flights were quite okay, with the champagne in business class contributing to the experience. At the airport, our tour guide for China, nicknamed 'Franz' since nobody can pronounce the Chinese name anyway, greeted us and took us to the hotel (Kempinski) with a few other fellow travelers. In the evening, there was a small reception so that we could get to know each other.
