In the morning, we were able to see more of Gdansk during a short city tour. The 2 hours were far from enough. We definitely have to come back here.
Gdansk was heavily destroyed during the war. Nowadays, the old town has been beautifully restored. In many streets, only the facades have been more or less faithfully reconstructed, while the interior reflects the style of the 1950s to the present. But only experts can really tell. One can imagine the prosperity that once prevailed here. Gdansk is definitely worth a visit.
With a delay and a temporary switch to an accompanying second bus (Our bus was in the workshop.), we headed towards Berlin. Germany welcomes us again. We arrived in Berlin around 9:00 PM. We are staying at the Mövenpick at Potsdamer Platz. We have to get used to speaking German again with the waiters and such.
