18.07.2019: Last day in China

There is not much to report today. We spent the whole day on the bus heading towards Erenhot. This is the border town to Mongolia in the north and is already located in the Gobi Desert. Only barren, flat landscapes accompanied us. The city itself doesn't offer much, except for a shop where you could buy very delicious craft beer (not the usual watered-down beer). We are staying at the very rustic Hengfei Hotel, which is a stark contrast to the previous luxury bunkers. But there is not much better to be expected here.
