Day 8 in brief

Today, our day started relatively late because we slept in.

We had planned a bike tour of 38 km. However, we also had to account for the ferries, and one had just left before we arrived and wouldn’t be back quickly, so we had to ride around. It’s something you quickly encounter in Holland; you find yourself cycling right next to the highway. A bit unsettling, I thought.

After a little stroll through Gorinchem and a delicious snack in the form of an iced coffee and club sandwiches, we headed back towards the motorhome.

In the end, we clocked in 60 km. And since we were also missing some steps on the watch, we went for another walk.

The weather was lovely today, sunny and not too warm.

Unfortunately, tomorrow we head back towards Germany, as our vacation ends on Thursday.
