The first special encounter of the day happened to us this morning at breakfast. Casually, a robin hopped around next to our table. When Ines got the impression that the little bird was begging, Sebb remarked that robins are actually insectivores and should have little interest in croissants. A misconception, as it turned out a few moments later when the creature eagerly attacked the crumbs next to the table.

After the 'Petit déjeuner’, we set off again. Today, we headed just outside the gates of Nantes, to La Chapelle-sur-Erdre. We couldn’t enter the city itself because of the environmental zones introduced in 2025, but that was fine with us as neither of us felt like dealing with French city traffic.

In the small suburb, there wasn't a campsite, but there was an organic vegetable farm, Thom Pousse. Thom's concept was as follows:

• You ordered an online seasonal vegetable basket.
• As a delivery option, you chose 'Pickup at the farm'.
• Then you mentioned in the comments that you would like to stay overnight.
• With the order confirmation, you received the green light to stay overnight on the grounds right next to the field.

Thus, we not only got a parking spot as a starting point for visiting Nantes the following day, but also 4 kg of zucchini, 3 kg of tomatoes, and 200 g of parsley.

So for dinner, we had freshly stewed ratatouille, and the quantity would still suffice easily for tomorrow.

Now that we were a bit off the coast and further inland, the current heat wave also became noticeable for us. In the car, it was almost unbearable in the afternoon, and we sat outside around the camper at 11:00 PM still in 28 degrees Celsius under the trees of organic farmer Thom.
