Parking Space by the Sea
Parking Space by the Sea Mileage: 158961 Actually, we were supposed to go to Lorient today, ... actually

Mileage: 158995 It slowly dawned on us how difficult it could be to find a campsite or even just a pitch in France in August. The first three of the day certainly turned us down. Complete!
On the way, we once again stopped at a roadside vegetable stand to buy potatoes for dinner that we had previously forgotten.
At the fourth location, we had some luck. At the municipal campsite “des Sables Blancs,” there was a strict separation at the barrier between ‘bookable’ and ‘not bookable.’ The 90% of the site that was bookable were all occupied, but in the 10% that could only be paid for directly at the barrier with a card, we got a narrow but nice spot under a tree. Naturally, the sanitary facilities were shared between the two areas, as they were only separated by a mound of sand and a few posts.
We visited the sea again and once more found oyster farms in the mudflats. This time we were lucky that the farmers were actually working when we arrived and had no objections to a photo.
During our first walk around the site, we immediately noticed the many holes in the sandy hills, and promptly Sebb spotted a rabbit as he headed to the entrance and increased our original booking from one to three nights; we would be staying here for a few days.
