This morning the alarm went off at 8:00 AM. We had planned to start early to avoid riding the upcoming mountain stage in the midday heat.

We left accordingly early and reached San Marcos, as planned, in the early afternoon.

At the reception of the campsite, we also received information on how to get to Santiago de Compostela best tomorrow.

Ines had selected a short hike in the surrounding area for the afternoon, so we took another hour to stroll around the village. The two sights we visited were the ‘Túnel vexetal de Xálex’ and the ‘Fonte de bando de arriba’.

In the evening, we prepared one of our salads again. For chopping and cooking, there was good, cheap beer from Galicia. For dinner, we had wine, of course also from the region.
