It was Saturday, and we had already decided yesterday that we wanted to hike along the cliffs today.

First, we had to get to the horses we had met on Thursday. The three from Thursday had suddenly become four since Friday, and we had promised to bring apples from the camping garden for them. It was a pleasure for us.

Then we made our way through willows, meadows, and cornfields heading east towards Molino de Bolao. The dilapidated watermill was nestled in a valley right by the Atlantic. While the dammed mill pond appeared to be entirely intact, only the foundations of the mill buildings were recognizable.

We descended into the narrow gorge and had the opportunity to take many beautiful photos.

On the way back, we followed the narrow path directly above the cliffs. It had become very windy, so we put on our jackets despite the 29 degrees.

On our way home, we passed by the Antiguo monasterio medieval San Felices y San Pedro. The former monastery from the 10th century had been abandoned since the 19th century, despite its location on the Camino de Santiago, and had since been used as a cemetery. Nonetheless, it served as a fantastic photo backdrop.

In the evening, we started packing some of our things because tomorrow we would be moving on.
