Saint-Martin-Plage
Mileage: unchanged. The day after the incident with the gas spring, we just wanted to take a quiet walk along the beach.

Today, some driving distance was planned again. 3 hours.
We made our first stop at the hardware store and bought materials for the emergency repair of our lift bed. Then we continued leisurely at the allowed maximum speed of 80 km/h on the country road towards Blonville-sur-Mer.
The journey was interrupted only twice. The first time we stopped around 2:00 PM because a farmer was practicing as a fraudster. He maneuvered back and forth two or three times, and eventually managed to squeeze the trailer with the hay bales under the bridge.
The second time, two motorcycle police officers stopped us just a few meters from our destination, believing that we had not stopped properly at the stop sign. We were quite fortunate that the two seemed to be in a somewhat good mood today. Although we were barked at about having to stop at the stop sign, they let us go with just a verbal warning.
Shortly after, we reached our campsite, which had nice warm showers but lost much of its charm due to overcrowding. We had learned a few days earlier that the holidays in France not only last the whole of August, as we thought, but also all of July.
On the plus side, the beach was wonderfully close; you just had to cross the road in front of the campsite and you were there...
