The day after the incident with the gas spring, we just wanted to take a quiet walk along the beach.

So we didn't cover any distance that day, but stayed at the campsite.

The path to the beach was steep and full of stairs. Right next to the campsite, we again found a book exchange, all French literature. Down by the water, we were greeted by a beautiful view and a beach that consisted of large, rough pebbles for the first few meters, followed by fine, soft sand. Once more, we walked along the chalk cliffs and only turned back when the tide began to come in.

The beautiful day was marred only by the constant sight of the Penly nuclear power plant right next to the bathing beach.
