Just like last year, this year we decided to take notes from our trip and share them with our closest ones. This year we decided to head south to the Balkans.
Our trip actually started the day before when Béďa and Řízek picked up the car from Prague, this time a Mercedes, and safely brought it to Lanškroun. There we asked our Lanškroun deacon to bless the car for us.
The next day, Béďa set off from home to fetch Hanza without a pillow, Tadeáš, Maty, and Řízek. Then he returned for the pillow and off we went to pick me up in Brno. In Brno, I treated the car crew and said goodbye to my wife right away and it was straight on to Belgrade!
We spent most of the day driving, where we baked ourselves quite a bit – we only figured out the air conditioning the next day. The layout of the car was based on the motto: business in the front, party in the back. Up front sat the driver and navigator, while in the back was a fridge stocked with plenty of cold beer.
In the evening, we arrived in Belgrade, scoped out a place to sleep, met Vasil along the way, and walked through the local jungle to the beach where we enjoyed a nice dinner of pickled sausages next to a nudist beach. We would like to thank Béďa's wife and additionally Béďa's future mother-in-law for this dinner. After that, we returned to the car and went to bed early to be ready for the next day.
