Today we took a 4-hour drive to Sweetwaters Serena Camp. Glamping in style.

Located right by a waterhole where all animals come sooner or later to quench their thirst.

Before checking in, we visited a chimpanzee sanctuary where they care for chimpanzees that have suffered in one way or another, including one chimp who had spent 9 years of his life in a small cage in a dark space where everyone photographed him with flash. This has caused him to be sensitive to sunlight. In this sanctuary, they care for about 30 chimpanzees.

After this, we checked in and had lunch.

Then off on a safari, we saw many buffalos, zebras, a hyena, and rhinos that came very close to the car. We also visited a blind rhino who lost one eye in a fight and the other due to illness. His name is Barak, and he was practically tame, so we got to feed him. It was a truly amazing experience to be so close to a rhino and even get to pet him. We also visited a memorial grove for rhinos.
