Day 14 - Uppsala

18.08.2019. A day trip from Stockholm to Uppsala. The funny name 🤣 is the reason why we wanted to visit Uppsala. So we pushed through the dense traffic of the Stockholm highways around noon. Well, to be honest, it was not even half as busy as it is in Munich every day, but I guess we have gotten too used to the peace and empty streets 😳. 

Arriving in Uppsala, we visited the cathedral. A fascinating building, the many details are very impressive. How many people must have worked on it? It's a pity that so little light enters the cathedral. It looks gloomy, almost creepy.

Afterwards, we walked through the city center, which we didn't find that exciting. 

As thick rain clouds 🌧 approached, we decided to skip the castle tour and just made it back to our motorhome in time. Then we headed back to Stockholm in the rain, but with a little less traffic.
