Day 22 - Öland North

08/26/2019. Today we drove through the northern part of the island of Öland. The landscape is rather barren, it reminded me of the Canary Islands. Especially when we passed by a camel farm 🧐.

In the north, you can also see some windmills. We made a stop at Sandviks Kvarn. This is the largest windmill on Öland. Today, it has been converted into a restaurant with a café and mini golf. The burgers tasted great and our child thoroughly tested the trampolines.

The windmill can also be visited. It gives a very good impression of its operation. The view from the top was magnificent. But it was also good for playing hide-and-seek and scaring 🧟‍♀️, as we were alone on top. Fortunately, the three mill ghosts found the way out again 👻👻👻.
