The early bird was out again 😂. At first, I wasn’t quite sure where to go, but then I headed to the Cascata del Molino, and this time it was great! So early in the morning, there were only a few people, but some nice lizards on the jagged stones— Good thing I bought water shoes; without them, it would have been a rather painful adventure.

The sulfurous, 37.5-degree warm water bursts forth from the depths of the earth in a waterfall, and it has been doing so for thousands of years. Terraces have formed, and in these, one can wonderfully relax, unwind, listen to the roaring waterfall, and simply be. I enjoyed it so much. Since it was nice and quiet today, it was a true rejuvenation for the body and soul, both of which I really needed.

When it got crowded, I ran away, further to Montemerra o, wandered through the little town, and had lunch at the Bar Il Glicine—- Spaghetti with an incredibly good ragout sauce, served by a former ballroom dancer. So great.

And in the afternoon, there was the biggest surprise for me. I went out again to Semproniano because of the local minimarket, but this place…this place is a revelation of tranquility.

Narrow alleyways, the usual steps, an old Aldobrandeschi castle, and a silence that I could almost hear. It was unbelievably beautiful. I sat quietly at the top of the castle and let the silence wash over me, and my soul found the peace that I hadn’t felt in a long time. I became completely calm and peaceful, and it felt so good. I will always cherish this place and this silence in my heart.

There was even a bench that had a sign saying to sit down and listen to the silence and forget everything else.

I did it.☺️ I wish everyone reading this to also find and keep such a place for themselves.
