The Magic of Harry Potter— today we wanted to experience it with all our senses!
Right after breakfast, we set off; the day was warm and was going to be long, tiring, and very adventurous. Since we had some experience from the previous year, we went straight to the places we wanted to visit— and that was this amazing, thrilling roller coaster that my daughter wanted to try first. 🤦♀️I was out— I’m up for a lot, but I’m not reckless! Just look at that twist when the cars come outside— no way, not for me. But Julia was excited, and that made it okay.
And then off to Hogwarts or rather Hogsmeade. This place is so authentically recreated from the film that you might think you are part of this fantastic wizarding world. Everywhere there are people in black robes with wands that can be purchased from all around. Of course, we drank a Butterbeer—very sweet, like so much in America— rode the Hogwarts Express, and repeatedly visited attractions like the rapids ride— it truly lived up to its wet name, but I had spare clothes with me!, and checked out a few rides— I still enjoy that kind of fun— and we wandered all day through this magical world of Harry Potter. In Gringotts Bank, there were lifelike goblins that moved and spoke, there was the Mirror of Truth, the moving pictures, even the dragon on the house roof breathes real fire— it’s incredible! Again this year, we were fascinated and couldn't get enough of all the wonders around us.
But eventually, energy runs out, feet ache, and heads are spinning from all the impressions— and also from the noise that’s there— and so after a bite to eat, we took the bus— off to the hotel and— nothing more is happening.😂🤦♀️Good night💤
Lesson of the day: and there are indeed wizards and witches; I saw them!!!
