Florida Dream Tour Day 2

Wonderful sleep, wonderful breakfast but unfortunately—-🌧️ rain in the morning when looking out the window. Hurricane Milton had hit Florida two weeks before our arrival and the weather was still a bit unstable compared to last year. But it improved, at the beach we had pure sunshine- 🌞 just what we wished for.👍

Off to Miami Beach. Our drive took us past the harbor, where many huge cruise ships were gathered, each one larger than the last. And then— great parking close to the beach, wonderful sand, gorgeous water— pure enjoyment after the cold, rainy Germany.

The day went by with lounging around. On the way home, we helped a distressed duck family— the mama hadn’t realized that the ducklings couldn't climb the high curb. I had these adorable fluffy ducklings in my hands and helped them up, watched over by the very worried mama. When everyone was up, she thanked me with a loud quack— a heartfelt moment❤️.

Onward to Walmart, my daughter's favorite store 🤦‍♀️. This size is almost incomprehensible by German standards, and the shelves are packed and overflowing with everything an American heart desires, and that is a lot. A paradise for shoppers, whether for groceries or other items. There are even shopping scooters— of course, we had to test them right away, it's incredibly fun!

The day drew to a close, so did our energy— had a little something to eat, feet up, off to bed and looking forward to the next day.
