Day 1 in San Francisco

First real day in San Francisco 🌉🐾

Well-rested and full of energy, we started our first real day in San Francisco at 6:30 AM. The early hour had something magical about it – the city was still quiet, the fog lay gently over the hills, and we were full of curiosity for discovery.

Our first stop: Pier 39. There, we were greeted by the famous sea lions, who lounged on their wooden platforms, making a racket and completely unfazed by our presence.

From there, we took the bus to the Golden Gate Bridge, where we enjoyed a wonderful hike on the Coastal Trail. The views of the bridge and the Pacific were spectacular – it was impossible to take it all in. The trail led us to the charming neighborhood of Sea Cliff, where elegant houses sit majestically atop the cliffs – an absolute insider tip!

Back at the hotel, we treated ourselves to a short break to put our feet up and recharge our batteries (and phones 😉). However, we couldn't stay away for long.

In the afternoon, we were off again – this time for some exercise: jogging in Golden Gate Park! The park's vastness and tranquility, combined with the fresh air and lush greenery, made it a true highlight.

On the way back, we stopped at Target – what a store! The selection was simply huge. You could easily get lost in the aisles.

To wrap up the day, we enjoyed a relaxed dinner in our hotel room – true to the motto: Tina, the penny pincher, strikes again 😅. Sometimes, it's the simple things that are the most beautiful.
