Day 16: The Journey Home
The vacation is now over. From Montevideo to Sao Paulo and then to Frankfurt. There were a few anecdotes. For example, smoking in the transit hotel restroom since it was not allow

Starting today, I will continue the blog. Because today is the day of my departure.
Up until today, there has been a lot to do: I had to sell all my belongings in Germany.
The move had to be prepared.
The house purchase in Argentina had to be completed.
And last but not least, I had to deregister in Germany.
Alright. Arrived in Wannsee. Ullrich picked me up, and we drove to Kleinmachnow. An hour later (14:45), Johannes from Kleinmachnow took me to the airport. The plane was supposed to depart at 17:10. A day filled with problems was continuing. There must have been an accident on the highway. Emergency lane, police, ambulance, the full program. I then missed my flight. And another 1500 euros lost. Whatever. We then found an Air France flight that was actually a bit more relaxed than the missed one.
Berlin - Paris - Buenos Aires - Mar del Plata instead of
Berlin - Lisbon - Rio - Buenos Aires - Mar del Plata
I didn't have to rebook the Buenos Aires - Mar del Plata flight, as I managed to catch it.
The obligatory wine against flight anxiety was of course a must. :)
And off we went:
Alright, arrived safely at the Paris airport.
Well, they know architecture:
And then quickly smoke one in the smoking room. I felt 40 years younger. Like a pub in the eighties. You didn't really need your own cigarettes:
And then off to the lounge. Let's have a gin and tonic for free.
(I have the Revolut Platinum card, and I'm the king of the world)
Just kidding. Only for Air France frequent flyers. Great. The next blow of the day. ;)
The lounge:
Okay. Off to the Sheraton Airport Hotel. You have to treat yourself sometimes.
As I said, they know architecture.
And then a burger for 35 euros. A real bargain. What you see here cost me 60 euros. With a loss of 3000 euros, that might not stand out too much. ;)
(Although silver is currently at 67. I might have made a profit after all. :) )
New countries, new wines. Maybe I'm just a philistine, but I hadn’t heard of Estephe before. Super tasty. Amazing.
Well, then another glass of Estephe at the bar, and write the blog. I owe you that. ;)
Well, let me put it this way: France is terrible. Everyone is in such a bad mood here. It's worse than in Berlin. Hehe.
Well then, chicas y chicos.
Tomorrow I'll be in Mar del Plata, and everything will be fine.
