Hello everyone!
This morning we took a little ride around the campsite on our two rickety bicycles. Wow, look at all the vehicles here! We were amazed for a little while and then headed back to the RV for our breakfast.
After that, we checked out and were quite shocked by the campsite fee of USD 91.-…
Actually, our plan was to book an airboat tour for tomorrow and go for a walk today. However, as we passed various tour operators, we spontaneously decided to inquire for today.
We found one with no other vehicle present and got really lucky! He gave us a special price, and since no one else was around, we had a private tour. It was really awesome!
The guide was very nice and explained a lot about these animals. For instance, that alligators usually have 50 young and only three of them survive.
Additionally, we visited a former Native American reserve and learned quite a bit about the indigenous people.
After 1.5 hours we returned to the mainland satisfied.
Now we had just a 30-minute drive left to the campsite we had chosen for today.
The drive was really beautiful and the road ran right along the river, so we were able to spot alligators from time to time.
We arrived at a beautiful campsite, with its own lake and more alligators ☺️
In the evening we made hotdogs with the strange sausages, which were much better than expected!
Now we’ll make ourselves comfortable and wish you a wonderful evening!
See you tomorrow ☺️
