Lawa went to school alone today and of course we misunderstood that the Loy Krathong making would happen in the morning and not after school, so unfortunately she had to do this by herself. However, there was a Thai mother who helped Lawa, thank you so much.
Mulle and I had breakfast on the beach and it was something out of the ordinary, just not in the right direction. We didn't get what we ordered at all and it was impossible to make ourselves understood about the mistakes, so we just had to accept the situation. It wasn't good either 😢
We took a trip to DIY and found some Christmas gifts and other crafts. Then we took a tuk-tuk home as Mulle's stomach came to life 🤣
We met the neighbor and got a tour of both their house and the house next door that they are converting into a yoga studio and healing studio.
What a cozy house they have built, lovely earth colors and lots of windows facing the 'jungle'. A real oasis.
He helped with some nice Thai remedies for my blister that had burst and filled with sand. You pour a little on and it takes away all the bacteria. He is our guru!!
When Lawa came home and brought some materials for making Loy Krathong floats, it turned into a family craft activity. Now we wait for the darkness and then we will release them into the sea, sending away all the bad and keeping only the good energies.
Lawa called Junie and invited their whole family over for a little gathering. The older kids made krathongs and little Noel had a magic school with me. What a charming little rascal. It ended up being much later than we had planned, but in the end we made our way down to the sea and released our krathongs.
With strong winds and the highest tide of the year, they came in faster than we could send them out. But we didn't give up and sent them out again and again and again...
The water came all the way up to the wall at times.
When the rain started pouring down, we had to say goodbye after a lovely evening.
Way too late we said good night, but what does it matter when you're in Thailand ❤️
