Today we continued with the journey to Lizard... As a reminder: the southernmost point of the British mainland...
Just as we were about to leave, a driver from "our" luggage transport company arrived and offered to take us all the way to Newquay - against the regulations, of course... :-P
From Newquay we continued by bus to Redruth, from there to the Lizard Peninsula. We had to walk the last kilometer to Cadgwith as the roads are too narrow for the bus. Of course it's stupid to walk with our suitcases, but a nice Amazon driver (Jodie) offered to give us a ride - against the regulations... ;-)
After a quick check-in at our accommodation, the Cadgwith Cove Inn, and a little refreshment with a crab sandwich, pasty and rattler, we went back up the mountain to the bus stop to go to Lizard.
The actual hike started at Lizard Point. Soooo beautiful there. Past the lighthouse, the radio station, the coast guard, the lifeboat station, a group of calves, The Devil's Frying Pan... and we were back in Cadgwith.
The 100th anniversary of the regatta festival took place there... Very sweet... Cadgwith itself is really worth seeing... Oh yes...
