Today was unfortunately the last hiking day, tomorrow is already departure. The weather was still wonderful. We had breakfast on the way in Yealmpton at a cute café.
Tina dropped me off on the other side of the River Erme at Wonwell Beach and then took a little stroll along the beach since it was low tide.
The goal today was Bigbury-on-sea with the lovely Burgh Island in front of it. I was already familiar with both from my first visit to Kingsbridge. At low tide, you can walk across the beach, and at high tide, a tractor shuttles back and forth. Really sweet...
Behind Bigbury-on-sea, the River Avon flows into the sea, followed by Bantham Beach, where the kids had their surf lessons last year. Everything is so lovely... 😍
In total, I hiked 74km in 7 days. 😎
