Darwin

Today we drove from Batchelor to Darwin. For once, there was quite a lot of traffic, especially around Darwin. Otherwise, not much happened. Then we checked into the hotel and returned the car at Darwin Airport. In the center of Darwin, we strolled around and admired some beautiful Aboriginal art. Unfortunately, our suitcases were already packed so full that we heartily decided against buying anything. Additionally, we saw a few murals and looked for a restaurant for dinner.

Now we will repack our suitcases, as only a small suitcase can be taken into the sleeper compartment of the Ghan, while the rest will travel in a luggage car.

Since our hotel is located on the new waterfront promenade with swimming opportunities in the sea (and without crocodiles), we will go for a swim.
