As already announced, quite a few things are changing on our journey. The decision was not easy for us – especially for Frank. However, traveling with both the motorcycle and the bus at the same time turned out to be much more stressful than we initially wanted to admit. In the past weeks, there were repeated moments when one of us had to wait for the other. Frank frequently ended up either drenched or practically boiling in his motorcycle gear. Sometimes we took different routes, discovered beautiful places – but couldn’t experience them together.
Therefore, on Thursday, right after the ferry crossing, Frank took a different path: he is going back to Germany, putting the motorcycle in the garage – and we will restart with one vehicle.
I myself continued heading north and explored Lahemaa National Park. Old manors like Palmse and Kolga are nestled in dense forests and tell their own unique stories. In between, there were heavy rain showers, wet shoes, damp jackets – but also lots of tranquility, green avenues, mossy paths, and a hint of adventure.
As already hinted at, things are starting to shift on our journey. The decision wasn’t easy – especially for Frank – but traveling with both the motorbike and the van turned out to be far more stressful than we initially wanted to admit. Sometimes we took different routes, stumbled upon beautiful spots – but couldn’t share them with each other.
So on Thursday, right after the ferry crossing, Frank took a different path: he’s heading back to Germany to put the motorbike in the garage – and we’ll restart the journey with just one vehicle.
