When we arrive in Malmö, the first autumn storm is already raging. Honestly, you feel almost reluctant to open the car door – the wind is blowing so strongly that it becomes almost uncomfortable. But battle-hardened campers don't let that stop them and even manage to cook some pasta in a sheltered little corner. Tonight's menu is very practical: with pesto. Our pitch is right by the marina, overlooking the impressive Öresund Bridge. After dinner, we take a short stroll along the breakwater, letting the brisk wind whip around us at sunset.

On the next morning, we park the van near a bus stop and head into the city – to Gamla Staden. The way leads us past Malmöhus Slott and the World Maritime University. Of course, a coffee stop is essential (coffee monsters, you know how it is), before we continue to the Lejonpassagen and the Lilla Torg. We allow ourselves to wander, but honestly, the spark just doesn't ignite. Malmö is certainly an exciting city that many people love – but for us, it doesn't feel quite right.

So we decide to return to the van around noon and continue on our way. And just like that, we roll over the Öresund Bridge, 61 euros poorer. Ouch, that moment made our faces go blank.

And with that, we say hello to Denmark – our last country on this trip!

Bye Malmö, hi Denmark

When we arrive in Malmö, the first autumn storm is already in full swing. Honestly, you don’t even feel like opening the car door – the wind is so strong it almost knocks you back in. But battle-tested campers don’t give up that easily. We even manage to cook a quick pasta dinner in a sheltered corner. Tonight’s menu: plain and simple pesto. Our pitch is right by the marina with a direct view of the mighty Öresund Bridge. After eating, we take a short walk along the breakwater and let the stiff breeze whip around us while the sun sets behind the bridge.

The next morning we park our van near a bus stop and head into the city – to Gamla Staden, the historic center. On the way, we pass Malmöhus Slott and the World Maritime University. Of course, a coffee stop is a must (you know us and our coffee obsession), before continuing to the Lejonpassagen and Lilla Torg. We stroll around for a while, but to be honest – the sightseeing mood just isn’t really there today. Malmö surely has its charms, but the spark simply doesn’t fly for us.

So, around noon, we decide to head back to the van and continue our journey. And just like that, we’re driving over the Öresund Bridge – 61 euros poorer in the blink of an eye. Ouch.

And with that, we say hello to the last country of our trip: Denmark!
