After a delicious breakfast, we first took a small ferry to cross the bay, as there was a river to navigate. The first kilometers afterward were rather unremarkable, as we moved away from the sea along country paths. Sometimes there were small groves, and at times we had to push through underbrush. But then, at last, we were back at the sea. Eventually, an opportunity arose for us to walk directly along the beach. However, after about 2km, we had to abandon our plan, as the tide came in. Now there was an option to return to the original path via ropes. The last stretch of the total 22km took us again through sandy paths to our accommodation for the day, a kind of Pippi Longstocking house. Walking on sand should not be underestimated, as you sink a bit like on the beach, making it quite a physical effort. It's also crucial to wear gaiters to prevent sand from getting into your shoes.
