Nachtrag 20.01. - Hot Water Beach

Upon arriving back at the hostel, we went to the Hot Water Beach as mentioned before.

There are fissures under the beach from which magma escapes, heating the cold water and pushing it upwards. I can't give more precise information, as I was always terrible at geology...

Our guide, Driver, showed us how to create our own little hot pool. It seemed quite simple, basically just digging.

Well, it wasn't... we got cold water. But with some help, we eventually managed and stayed in our true pool until we looked like grandmas.

So, it was a pure relaxation day :)
