Gallipoli and Taranto 🌬️🌬️🌬️⛅️⛅️
The first day at Rivamare was forgettable. Only rain, wind, and starting over again. I actually wanted to hike to the lakes with Mayla, which are also here without rain.

Last night in Taranto was very restless. It stormed so much that I got up to see if it was the sea. And we had to flee. It was just rain.
That’s why we are switching to the Italian side. On the way, believe it or not, heavy rain. In Calabria! At the Lido delle Sirene campsite, there is flooding. Everything is wet, you can see how far the sea has raged. Yet we stay, in the second row, as the waves still reach the edge.
I go out with Mayla, of course at the beach, a few times we have to get to the wall, as high as the waves still come. Normally the beach here is 15 meters wide. It really makes you think about the power of the water.
The next day is sunny and we move to the first row. Besides us, there is also a Swiss motorhome. The others are parked a few meters further away. We like it here!
We visit Diamante, enjoy the sun and the view of the sea and the sunset.
Tomorrow we’re staying another day, the weather is supposed to be alright. And then? Let’s see.
