Port Augusta

There isn't much to say about Port Augusta itself.. it's a small town with many industrial districts, and we only saw a small part of it. We stayed at the Motel Poinsetta. A motel like you see in US movies 😃 you get a room with a number and can park your car right in front. Families and couples sat in their folding chairs in front of their doors, relaxing.. we slept right by the highway, but it was still okay. In the evening, we walked along the highway to find something to eat. On the way, we passed by the local cinema 😃😃

All in all, I believe this place is only suitable for a quick overnight stay before heading into the Outback. However, we arrived late in the afternoon and didn’t see much.. maybe I’m wrong about that..
