On the way to Port Augusta, we made a stop in Snowtown to have a coffee. We were at the bar in the Snowtown Hotel, where a few members of the local community gathered to discuss the important matters of the day.
The host made us a delicious cappuccino and asked us where we were from and where we were headed. Then he joked a little with his colleague, and we felt really comfortable because the atmosphere was so nice. It wasn't fancy or particularly outstanding, but sometimes it's the small moments that give you a good feeling. When we wanted to pay, the host said: you are from Germany, Germany is supportive of Ukraine, and he thought that was good. And then he also said in German(!) Goodbye
And he even treated us to the cappuccino 🥺
