A beautiful good morning, today we are traveling the last major leg...Murcia is our new destination, Ricci has mixed up the arrival days, we are a day early🫣. Last night was a bit windy and it rained a little, but Spain still needs water. After refueling ⛽️ (1.189€ dream prices), we head onto the AP - 7, the clouds ☁️ are slowly clearing up at 12°. Between orange and olive trees, the Spaniards cultivate all kinds of vegetables and salads. The almond trees are already blossoming. Finally, Spain... mountains, sea, wild-growing oranges along the way, palm trees 🌴 and tourist castles, cacti, sunshine, and vendors on the Autopista del Mediterráneo...I like it... 16° degrees, we have already arrived in the province of Valencia. On the highway, we pass 3 buses from Maastricht, Andre Rieu on tour. A short stop, the wind is blowing nicely. Seatbelt check, everything secure?...then onward. Mediterranean landscapes pass us by, the scents of wild garlic, garlic mix with orange and almond blossoms in our noses, and the pines ensure pleasant breathing. After a short break...final stretch past Alicante, up into the mountains...The region around Murcia is blessed with wine 🍷 cultivation, vegetable fields, and marble mining. At 700m above sea level, the wind starts blowing more strongly again. Despite storms and flooded regions (Christmas 2025), the water shortage is still visible. Today everyone is very happy when we arrive at the IKEA parking lot in Murcia.
