Border crossing Spain/France

Continuation to Millau in France. Today we're not covering many kilometers, first we're refueling ⛽️ in La Jonquero and now let's go... one last thunderstorm and the rainbow 🌈 shows us where the sun is. France is reached, traveling through vineyards on the French wine route D 6009, some of which are underwater. Right now, there is plenty of water. The temperatures rise to 15° and despite all the rain, Sahara dust is still in the air. One last look at the sea and we are making good progress on the E-11. The higher we climb into the mountains, the rainier it gets....Upon arrival at the top, we are in Roquefort country, where the sheep🐑 graze and from where the famous Roquefort cheese comes. The Gorges du Tarn is indicated here, we continue on. Already it's downhill again, we gaze into deep valleys and at rugged rock formations. This area has now become a nature reserve and biosphere reserve. It has stopped raining. Look...Millau comes into view. A moving sight, a wonderful city to fall in love with...around the roundabout through the alley, continuing along the river, and one sees the unique cable-stayed bridge in the world, which requires a toll...not cheap, costing 38€ per crossing. We have left Millau behind and are back on the E11, which we left due to the expensive bridge. Juicy meadows roll past us, and out of nowhere, after a curve, Sévérac-le-Château appears. Sévérac is a locality and a former French municipality with 2,418 inhabitants in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region. It belonged to the Millau arrondissement and the Tarn et Causses canton. We spend the night at the parking area under the Château. A stroll through the nice village does us good until a tempting scent lures us into a pastry shop. Cheesecake and coffee...We continue walking to the church, Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc, which is minimally furnished but stands out with beautiful colorful stained glass windows. Passing beautiful houses with many blooming primroses and daffodils in the front yards or bowls, we walk back past the hotel to the parking area. The movement feels good...tomorrow at 9:30 AM we continue...
