Election Day

Next destination, we have 280 kilometers to cover to Lapalisse. Unfortunately, it starts raining on us again.... On the toll-free A75 La Meridienne, we leisurely travel along...what luck, very little traffic and it has stopped raining. Passing the Aubrac Nature Park, a viaduct peeks over the A75's boundary wall, too bad I couldn't see it properly...The first animals are grazing on the lush pastures near the farms. We have arrived in the land of cheese, the sun 🌞 has broken through the clouds. In the background, you can see the Albepierre ski area...there is still snow there. Continuing past Moriat, we encounter a pellet manufacturing facility. In Le Broc, you see typical French estates and lovely villages. Around noon we reached Clermont-Ferrand and exited from the A75. Now we continue on the D2009 under bright sunshine at 17°. At Aigueperse, everyone turns onto the country road D984, after a few kilometers, we take the roundabout to the National Route D2209. We cross the Allier river and refuel ⛽️ at an expensive price of 1.999 per liter of diesel. Hooray, the stage destination achieved. Still, a walk through the town but everything is closed...Café at home...at 17° in the sun 🌞.
