The airport in Sao Paulo bid farewell with a beautiful sunset.

Something interesting that I saw at the airport was a restaurant named Bleriot. Louis Bleriot is a pioneer in aviation history, but also a reminder of my childhood and one of my first experiences of longing to fly. There was a film called 'The Great Race' that dealt with the history of aviation. One of the main characters in this series, which I watched at my grandmother's (usually on Fridays during dinner and after 'Fathers of the Clothing'), was Louis Bleriot. He practically spent his entire fortune building airplanes. If I remember correctly, he also won a prize for a flight across the English Channel. For more info:

And a restaurant at the airport is named after him.

However, by this time, I was already quite tired. At the gate, the employee from LATAM, the airline, changed my seat from 30C at the back by the aisle to 9A at the window at the front. When I complained and said I wanted to sit by the aisle and also wanted to sit at the back, she informed me it was for safety reasons and that I would be much more comfortable there. Neither was true; seat 9A was right by the wing, where I didn't want to sit. I was annoyed that I hadn't insisted on my pre-booked seat. The nice thing was that there was a German student sitting next to me, studying medicine in Gießen, with whom I talked for a long time about studies, students, and similar topics whenever I wasn't dozing off. Of course, I had to go to the bathroom twice, and everyone had to get up.

During the flight, it was clearly visible that the entire coastline of Peru along the Pacific is a desert. However, it was also very fascinating with some offshore islands and natural harbors, rivers winding towards the sea, and so on.

Upon landing in Lima, everything went well; my luggage arrived, I had no problems with customs, and the tour guide Wilner picked us up, and thus I saw my group for the first time, with whom I would spend the next three weeks.
