Wow - what a beautiful city. Architecture, history, and a relaxed life by the water!
I started my sightseeing trip at the central market - I love markets. The colors, shapes, smells, and the variety of fresh produce are simply delightful to see. I tried my first strawberries of the year here - delicious!
By the way, Valencia also has its own 'Flat Iron Building'.
From the cathedral and the silk exchange, I continued to the old part of Valencia, Barrio del Carmen, with its impressive Palacio de Forcallo. My walking tour of the city center ended after five hours at the old city fortifications, the Serranos Towers. Even back then, great efforts were made to keep unwanted visitors out.
