Barcelona → … → Barcelona Hafen
Barcelona, Spain

What always fascinates me about Spanish cities is the contrast between incredibly spacious boulevards and neighborhoods where opposing residents can almost reach out and shake hands through their windows, as narrow as the alleyways are. In this respect, Barcelona is also captivating.

Touristically, it is absolutely insane, but here too, you can find beautiful architectural highlights at every corner. During long walks through the city, I try to 'breathe in' the atmosphere a bit and enjoy the relaxed vibe.

Of course, the absolute tourist hotspot Sagrada Familia is part of it. Somehow, I found associations with the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao (I know, quite a stretch). But in both cases, the architects have demonstrated extraordinarily impressive imagination. Due to the crowds of tourists, I refrained from visiting the interior of Sagrada Familia. Perhaps it will strike me in the coming days.

Also, the famous beach of Barcelona must not be missed on a tour. And where there is a beach, the harbor is usually not far. Here, you can find some very modest second homes moored.

The police in Barcelona, by the way, ride BMW F 800 GS or fully electric Zero bikes. Cool!
