Plan A? Plan B? Or is there no plan at all?

After today's weather forecasts predicted temporary rain again, I thought to myself - let's take a vacation 😅. So I actually took a day off, slept in, and then after midday, once the rain front had passed, I wandered through the old town.
I also checked out the cathedral, although it somehow gave me the impression of being intended yet not quite succeeded. It seems to have been built and rebuilt multiple times and has a mix of Baroque and classicism. A creepy exhibit was displayed in the crypt, featuring a remarkably lifelike replica of Jesus's body, complete with all the wounds, blood, etc., after the crucifixion. The reproduction was based on information gleaned from the Shroud of Turin and various other sources. The modeled body indeed looked lifelike (like a rather fresh corpse, to be honest).
However, what I saw in the streets of the old town was wonderful. It felt like the whole of Cádiz was seated in restaurants, on the street, at the market hall at 'food stalls', just everywhere, enjoying life with tapas, wine, and beer. An incredibly relaxed atmosphere. This went on until around 4:00 PM, and then the streets and venues suddenly emptied. I suspect: siesta. Because restaurants don’t open again until 8:30 PM.
Tomorrow, I will continue to Faro in the Algarve.
