From Haselünne to Lechtingen

After a superb breakfast at 'Hotel Meyer', we started quite punctually considering the relatively short night. We left Haselünne to the east and passed by the former house of my grandparents, where I spent many weeks of my childhood. Unfortunately, the wind was initially very unfavorable. Nevertheless, we made good progress. During the day, it became increasingly humid and dark clouds gathered. We almost made it without getting wet, but about 4 km before reaching the destination, we were caught in pouring rain. In the pouring rain, we only made a small detour to the Karlssteine, a megalithic grave in the immediate vicinity of my parents' house. From there, it was only five minutes, and we were in a dry place.
