From Erlangen to Beilngries

We basically drove along the Main-Danube Canal all day, mostly right by the water, occasionally a little further away. This kept the inclines to a minimum. After about 20 km, we reached the old town of Nuremberg, where we took a look around. The next highlight of the tour was Lake Rothsee, where we spent our lunch break after enjoying a refreshing swim in the lake. The rest of the ride along the canal would have been almost boring if we hadn't constantly had to dodge potholes on the unpaved path. Thanks to a tailwind, we still made good progress and arrived in Beilngries in the mid-afternoon.
