A nearly perfect day:
Sun: From morning till evening
Rain: None
Wind: Mostly from behind
Route: Mostly flat
Under these conditions, covering a distance of almost 100 km was nearly child's play. The only thing that reached its limits was the body part in contact with the saddle. Why only nearly perfect? Before the departure, Dietrich had to repair the attachment of his luggage rack to the frame. Apparently, a screw could not withstand the many, many kilometers of shaking on unpaved roads and simply broke off. But a few cable ties fixed it (for now). Tomorrow, we will look for a workshop. There is not much to report about the route. After a little over halfway, we passed through Bamberg, where we took a little look around the center and the cathedral. After a delicious ice cream, we continued to Erlangen, with the route mostly running along the Main-Danube Canal. After a total of 98.7 kilometers ridden, the welcome beer on Schlossplatz tasted particularly good.
