We organized our little hiking trip ourselves, hoping to see condors.
Together with a Chilean family from Santiago, we were driven to the foot of the 'hill'. The ascent: only 2.5km but 500 meters in elevation. It was steep. But we managed it. Unfortunately, I had a panic attack 100 meters before the summit, and the way back to the forest was terrible. The fact is: I am not made for the mountains. Unfortunately, we didn't see any condors.
Nevertheless, it was a nice trip. Apart from the wind, there was nothing to be heard.
Afterwards, we went to a lagoon. With our feet in the water - it's freezing, brrrr ;-)
Cultural exchange works like this: one (Chilean) practices their English, the other (me) practices their Spanish. And then you ask or share stories about your city, your country. That's great.
