The worm
Day #6 Wednesday, May 6th. We managed to put 50% of our plans for today into action. Sleeping in? Check. Just like the lazybones who waits until the bird has flown away.

At the opening hours of the shop, Dave is ready and has good luck at the second store. His wheel can be fixed, allowing us to continue our journey with a slight delay.
Meanwhile, I've packed up comfortably, and once the rain gear is on, we are off.
Including gloves, as it has noticeably gotten cooler.
It’s hard to cover kilometers in this weather, but we are cheerfully pushing on.
Hot coffee in the early afternoon is once again a piece of pure luxury.
Together with rolls and pastries.
Rejuvenated, we continue on better-paved roads than what we had yesterday.
Yesterday was still dominated by cobblestones, which can be categorized based on our experience. 1 = acceptable to 5 = Roman conditions.
The backside provides information about that. Even after a week of touring, there are still complaints from the seat.
At the end of the day, we still manage to cover 90 kilometers, and the daily search begins.
Since we are in a nature reserve, we take a detour to a country road that runs through a patch of forest.
Where cars thunder by all night, we definitely disturb the least.
It looks promising.
In the final meters, Dave notices he has a flat tire.
Luckily, we find a spot to slip through the bushes.
It’s beginning to get dark, so we first set up our camp for the night.
Throughout the day, we had constant rain. Heavy rain, drizzle. Everything was included.
But another happy coincidence, just as we start setting up, the rain has stopped, and aside from the dripping trees, we can enjoy our dinner in peace.
The repair will be postponed until tomorrow.
Tired from an exhausting day, we fall into our hammocks, and shortly after, gentle snoring can be heard in the silence of the night.
Only drowned out by passing cars.
Song of the day:
B.J. Thomas - Raindrops keep falling on my head
