We arrived safely in Rio!

Today we finally started. Our flight route: Frankfurt - Munich - Rio.

We are so grateful and excited to be able to take such trips again. Only our Littlefoot made me a little sad. When I put our bags in the car, she also wanted to get in the trunk and looked so sad. She knew exactly that she couldn't come with us! Terrible!!!!!

We started in Frankfurt with a 40-minute delay and had to spend another 15-20 minutes on the runway in Munich because all the terminals were occupied with planes. Daniela was a little restless because of our tight connection flight, as we also had to go through passport control... I just said, hmm how are they going to handle the luggage? Well, not our problem, they will figure it out somehow. We were lucky with our connecting flight: the passport control was surprisingly empty and the plane to Rio had not finished boarding yet, so we were able to take our seats relatively relaxed!

Thanks to a little devil on our last medium-haul flight (countless kicks from behind my seat), we had stretched our feelers towards Business Class on the long-haul flight and then booked it as well. I am soooooooo infinitely grateful to the little devil. FANTASTIC and the service in Lufthansa's Business Class was absolutely insane. I have never arrived at a destination so relaxed and well-fed!

At the baggage carousel, I told Daniela that our suitcases should theoretically be the first ones! Nöööö, it was just wishful thinking! After standing in front of the carousel for 20 minutes full of hope and scrutinizing the passing suitcases, our names were then called out over the loudspeaker. What can I say, unfortunately our luggage did not make it to Rio! :-)

The suitcases are supposed to arrive at the hotel during the day - we are curious and now have to go shopping against our will. Our hotel is located right on Copacabana, but our sightseeing plans have to wait a bit today. I'm laughing as I write this, because we were actually so happy that we didn't bring so much luggage and now this!
