"Hello, this is a short reminder. Your confirmed WWOOF stay is starting soon." I feel like a child when I see the message in my inbox. Just a few more days. "Please contact your host and agree on the further details."
I've already taken care of that. Days before this message, I wrote about how excited I am, when I should arrive, and if there's anything I need to bring along.
The response came back that they are excited too, and I should just show up on that day, and there will be a brief introduction. And of course, I need rubber boots.
Rubber boots? There was something about that! I remember my childhood. Vacation on a farm, in Bavaria, in a sleepy little place. Back then, there were no fries, and I lived off liver cheese with fried eggs and fried potatoes for two weeks.
Anyway, the farm had a small barn, and of course cows, like the one I'm going to visit. And back then, I didn't have rubber boots with me.
My brother and I didn't mind walking through the barn in summer sandals. At least as long as we stayed
