Trip to Sweden August 16th - September 3rd 2023/August 21st

Last night we enjoyed our beautiful sauna, cooling off directly in the lake. So we had a good night's sleep. This morning we are taking a tour of Skellefteå, where we visit the stone church, then continue to Norra Skogsägarna ek för, where we marvel at a mega sawmill , via Kroksjön back to our house in Ljusvattnet. Norra Skog Economic Association is a Swedish forestry company that was founded in 2020 through a merger of Norrskog and Norra Skogsägarna. The general meetings of the two forest owners' associations with branches in Medelpad and Norden in Norrland decided at extraordinary general meetings on February 7, 2020 that the two were approximately the same size Associations would be merged into one association with 28,000 members. This means that the family forest owners in Sweden would have three forest owner associations: Northern Forest Owners, Middle Forest Owners and Southern Forest Owners Associations. From Sundsvall, Norra Skog would cover a land area equivalent to half of Sweden Area of 2.3 million hectares. On May 15th at 9:21 a.m., the Swedish Commercial Register Office registered the merger between the forest owners' associations Norra and Norrskog, and 27,000 forest entrepreneurs were able to call themselves owners of Norra Skog. It's quite nice to admire a company like this up close impressive.In the evening we enjoy our sauna again, of course with a cooling off in the lake😇
