Day 48 - Singapore - Evening river cruise

Published: 30.10.2023

On Sunday we decided: Slowly! We sat down quietly at our breakfast table. But don't worry - we didn't fall asleep during breakfast 😅.

Then we went up to the roof. I first walked around and looked at everything. So far I haven't had the desire or the time. Of course, Elisa already knew every corner of the complex 😀. After applying sunscreen to our bodies (Elisa a little, I was basically the white one in the water) we went into the pool and did our laps. Again. And again. And again. Ultimately, applying the cream in that form didn't help. We both burned our fur. Don't worry! Gotta keep going!

In the evening we left the hotel towards the river (almost right next door) and went looking for food. And the hunt was very successful. There was local food, which tasted very good. It's hard to believe... We drank alcohol for the first time in Singapore. But I took away two Sapporos... and a Tiger in the hotel in the evening (but I don't like it that much, but the beer glass fits with it) 😁! By the way, in Singapore it is forbidden to drink alcohol in public places from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The penalties must be very high.

Afterwards we wanted to take the river trip that we had already booked. However, there was no one at the advertised ticket counter (according to Get your Guide). Stupid 😅. Finally we found the meeting point and took a nice ride (17 euros each) through the city center. Singapore at night is brightly lit and colorful. You can just do that. Nevertheless, the feeling arises that Singaporeans don't know what to do with all their energy. Then there are others where the lanterns have to be turned off in the evening for cost reasons 🙈.

Kind regards and good night 😴
