Picton is a typical port town where people soon set off for the North Island, just like we will tomorrow! The backpacker lodge we are staying in isn’t too bad, it's quite busy here!

After our morning coffee, we will head to the Tirohanga Track, a route through jungle-like undergrowth leading up one of the many mountains around us; it’s a bit steep, but the view from the top is absolutely stunning.

The plans for the North Island are somewhat delayed, but after some back and forth, the trip is on - always stay flexible, then everything works out!
