Snow and love at first sight

This time, things are different... This morning, the view from the window had a surprise in store. It had snowed about 10 cm overnight. For a moment, we considered buying a ski pass... So, now we get to experience Iceland in its winter coat. It definitely has its charm, even though Nora and I agree that a golden autumn would be nicer. But complaining about the weather won't help. So, we put on warm clothes and went out into the snow. Today, our plan was to test the first horses in the arena and I must admit, there is a horse that I would definitely bring back to Germany. I just promised my husband not to bring a horse... which is actually a shame :-) such a mega cool and charming dappled grey mare. Nora also tried a horse that suited her. Let's see how it goes. As always, Magnus made sure we didn't go hungry and served us noodles with sausages, bacon, onions, corn, and ketchup. It wasn't too bad. Afterwards, I actually fell into a coma for more than 3 hours - greetings from my head - but now the headaches are finally gone. When I woke up, the house was empty - so back into the warm clothes and out to the stable, to ride the next horse - an old acquaintance named Yartl while Nora tried the next horse. A Barbie horse, but tricky to ride... One round of stable chores and it was time to eat again. The current stable helper/employee is certainly as relaxed as Magnus. First, she didn't realize we were guests, then she assigned us the task of frying the sausages - and somehow she adapts to Magnus very well here. We already feel the need to completely clean, disinfect, and possibly renovate the bathroom, kitchen, and PUB. Then he actually had the audacity to tell us his plans for our (Nora and my) sheep house. He wants to tear it down to build new guesthouses there. Each with a kitchenette, so he doesn't have to take care of breakfast anymore. A kitchen has also been installed in the actual guesthouse and the guests will not be taken care of by us either. We have more vacation here than we thought, but it doesn't bother us at all.
