Valkenburg

Short bike ride from Meerssen to Valkenburg in the southernmost corner of the Netherlands. After several weeks of completely flat land, the hilly landscape of Limburg with its many beautiful old trees feels almost playful. Here too, we enjoy the many cycle paths or lanes separated from the road, which make cycling a pure pleasure.

Valkenburg is a small tourist town, beautifully situated, similar to those in the Black Forest or Tyrol. Charming, but not really special. However, the bitterballen and beer on the terrace of 'Aan de Linde' (Delicious food & drinks...) were absolutely delicious!
